Stepping into Kómma Mediterranean Restaurant feels like embarking on a flavorful journey through the sun-drenched coasts of the Aegean. Their menu is a vibrant tapestry of traditional flavors, thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented.
I started my meal with the Soguk Meze—a chilled appetizer spread that’s nothing short of a Mediterranean dream. The Haydari was creamy and refreshing, the Humus rich and earthy, and the Ezme brought a satisfying kick. I particularly enjoyed the Saksuka, a tangy eggplant and tomato dish that paired wonderfully with the brined sharpness of Beyaz Peynir.
Moving into the Sicak Meze, the warm starters, the Sigara Böreği—crispy cheese-filled rolls—were addictively good, and the Mücver, zucchini fritters, were light yet flavorful. The Lahana Dolma (stuffed cabbage rolls) and Patlıcan Dolma (stuffed eggplant) were standouts, filled with seasoned goodness that felt like home cooking with finesse.
For something refreshing, their Çoban Salata and Goat Cheese Salad offered crisp, herbaceous relief, perfectly dressed to enhance the natural flavors.
The Ana Yemekler, or main dishes, are hearty and soul-satisfying. The Ali Nazik, with tender meat atop smoked eggplant purée, was a smoky, creamy indulgence. The Adana Kebab delivered a fiery punch, while the Kuzu Pirzola (lamb chops) were grilled to tender perfection.
Seafood lovers won’t want to miss the Karides Şiş (shrimp skewers) or the Antapot Güveç, a bubbling clay pot of octopus delight. The grilled Levrek (sea bass) and Somon (salmon) were both fresh and flavorful.
Sides like bulgur, grilled vegetables, and house fries round out the meal. And for dessert? Don’t skip the Künefe—sweet, cheesy, and golden. Pair it with a strong Turkish Coffee or a smooth Cappuccino for the perfect finish to an unforgettable feast.
